Apartment in Santiago de Chile

Have you stayed in a nice apartment in Bellas Artes or Providencia? We will be there in late March early April and need a 0ne bedroom apartment for a week.

There is a Bellas Artes apart hotel downtown - good location and new building. The Apart Hotel Tobalaba in Providencia gets good recommendations.

We are staying in a nice apartment in downtown Santiago as I write this. Found it on www.vrbo.com. It's in a new building on Carmen Ave, two blocks from Santa Lucia metro. It has one bedroom on 22nd floor, nice balcony which overlooks Santa Lucia hill (do walk up it!) and San Cristobel hill (take the funicular/cable car), flat screen TV with BBC and CNN in English (which we didn't have in Buenos Aires apartment). Wi-fi connection was a problem and the owner has tried to get cable company out for days, but owner loaned us her Sierra Wireless card, which keeps us connected. Her e-mail is [email protected]. It's convenient, but traffic noise is high (since it's quite warm and you will need to keep windows open). Providencia has nice restaurants, nothing much around Santa Lucia. Hope this helps. SWR
