Antgua Restaurants

We are leaving Guatemala tomorrow after three weeks of travelling.

However, I must recommend two fabulous restaurants.

These two restaurants in my opinion are the best in Antigua:

Tartin- Chef Jean Francoise has a gem here in this six week new restaurant. His tarts are authentic French, he pours good Argentinan wines by the glass. We absolutely loved the artichoke hearts with goat cheese, and the onion soup was the best I have ever tasted. The chocolate brownie that I took back to the hotel was divine and perfect. This is my new favorite Antigua restaurant.

Second on my list is Hector's which is basically a restaurant with no-name squeezed into a hole in the wall on the street running north of the arch between 5th and 6th Avenues. Hector had great Beef Bourgenoine and the quiche was divine. Also his Romero Creme Brulee may have been the best I have ever tasted.

Antigua is a cool city!!
