Hi. Do you guys suggest paying for a cab into Playa or is there a cheaper car service/van, whatever? What can I expect to pay from Cancun Airport to 5th Ave, Playa?? Should I reserve in advance?<BR><BR>Thanks to everyone

Mel,<BR>We have found in many years of traveling to PDC and points South that the best bet is to mention to the guys that pick up our (way too much) baggage that we are going to PDC.<BR>The prices have always been the same whether we get transportation at the airport kiosk or wait to get outside - about $40 to $45 one way.<BR>Request a van if you have more than two people or a lot of luggage.

We've been down there a few times. We've usually taken the shuttle to the bus terminal in downtown Cancun and taken the bus from there. Can't recall the price, but it's fairly inexpensive.

Just for your information, there is bus service from the Cancun airport to the bus station on 5th Ave. It is Riviera bus lines and the buses leave frequently from the center island in front of the airport--just outside the baggage claim area. I believe the cost is about 7 dollars and the buses are very nice. <BR><BR>Robert

Thanks a million for the tips.. That Riviera bus sounds like a possibility for us... Does anyone know what street the bus depot is in Playa? We'll be staying on 5th and 12th I beleive and we'll have luggage, plus a baby in a stroller...so walking far is not an option...<BR><BR>Gracias in advance,<BR>Mel

Does the Riviera bus make any stop between the airport and PDC?

The Riviera bus makes no stops. The station is right on 5th Ave.--and easy walk from many hotels. If the walk is too far, taxis are waiting and the fare is very inexpensive.
