4 hour tour in San Jose, Costa Rica

I previously posted regarding a tour of the Gold Museum. I have now booked a driver/guide from my hotel, the Xandari. Because it is "green season" I may be the only person on the tour, so the schedule is up to me. I have approximately 4 hours in the city, excluding transportation time to and from the hotel. What is the best approximately 4 hour Itinerary in San Jose? I want to see Gold Museum. Perhaps National Theater or Jade Museum? The hotel recommends a stop at the Calle Nacional Artesianes in Plaza de la Democracia for souvenirs, This isn't my first trip to Costa Rica, won't be the last. Typically I visit family around Domincal. It is worth shopping in San Jose? What is the best use of my limited time

Thanks for any suggestions.

Gold museum and national theater should be good to occupy 4 hours, especially if you grab a meal somewhere in there.

From XANDARY to San Jose area can easily take 1.5 hours depending on traffic and day and time of the day.

Take that in consideration…also…Gold,Jade and National Theater are very close…maybe enough time to see 3 of them in about 3 hours…about 5 minutes up hill from there is Archeolagical Museum…souvenir or shopping maybe can be done somewhere else
