1st trip w/new boyfriend cancun or near by.

I have always stayed at MoonPalace any suggestions on where to stay that is all inclusive and won't break the bank. This is our 1st vacation together. I just want to have a nice room and good beaches, pools for the daytime and be able to go out at night have a great time for me and my boyfriend. We are a fun outgoing couple that love fun in the sun.

Thank you for any feed back I can get

How about either Royal Playa del Carmen or Royal Hideaway? Not in Cancun but one right in PDC and the second nearby.

Both the resorts mentioned above are kind of expensive and you said you didn't want to "break the bank".
It would be easier for us to help you if you included a budget, how long you want to stay, and where you live.
Do you want all inclusive or not?

I like the Barcelo property south of Playa del Carmen. Arguably the best beach in all of RM. Nice clean rooms and reasonably priced. There are 3 resorts in one of differing price points. Huge property with several pools, swim-up bars, nightclub, restaurants, etc.

Barcelo has a sad captive dolphin prison which I am opposed to, so would not be on my list.

Check online. Sometimes you have really good prices on hotels. All inclusive hotels are great and in Playa del Carmen you find some boutique hotels with really good price in downtown area near the night clubs. June is not high season so you will find good deals.

Look at the resorts in Playacar. Sandos Playacar has an adults only section. The resorts in Playacar are about a five minute taxi ride to Playa del Carmen if you want to go into town and party at night.

Great suggestions here above, mainly Plyacar which is IMO the better choice.
Lucky for you this is off season , you might grt a good deal at the Reef hotel AI on the beach and as mentioned, walking distance to PDC which is where you want to be !

It's hard to know what your budget it as we don't know where you live and what a flight would cost. If it costs around $700, I guess you want to spend around $200 per per per day for everything?

I always thought if you want to stay a week in an AI, with flight, that there were some good deals on packages. I never want to do that so don't use them.

I don't get it, you said you were going in early June which is over. Have you changed your mind?

So I don't know when you are going, things are probably cheaper in July as it is so hot, but you can easily get a package with airfare and a nice AI from Apple Vacations for what you wnt to pay. They have Secrets Akumal for only $1800 per person for a week, for example. If you don't want to be that isolated and would rather be in Cancun, they have cheaper packages. Of course, I was pricing it from Baltimore, have no idea where you need airfare from.

They have the Paradisus La Perla in Playa del Carmen for about $1600 for a week (with air fare).

I love the Barceló and we've been a few times. One of the best beaches for sure. However, it is about 20 minutes south of Playa, so I don't think is practical for wanting to go out at night. They do have their own disco though.
If you want Cancun, have a look at the Riu properties (the palace resorts are nicer of course) or in Playa the Riu Yucatan (newly renovated). You can use the other Riu's if you stay at one and can only use the Palace ones if you are staying at a Palace. They are a great value and are lively for couples.
Good luck
