I get nothing for either euro or pound
€ £ (I just cut and pasted these from email)
Hi bryanc, I don't know if this will help you but here is a website that a Fodorite posted some time ago. Scroll down to Currencies and he gives the information as to how to type euro, pound etc. If this is not the information you want my apologies as I am not exactly a brain surgeon regarding all of this.

Thanks for the link. We're actually trying to figure why tower is no longer able to type the codes into this comment field. Thanks for chiming in though!
Oh, so it's not about us as characters on Fodor's? Thank you
But we are still special!
I'm with you, Dayenu........I thought this was about the "special characters" in the lounge!
#? or ₤
Are you on a laptop or desktop? PC or Apple? For a PC, you should be able to hold down the function key (Fn) and Alt key while typing the numbers 0128. When you let go of the keys, the euro sign will appear.
Sorry. I see this was to help Stu. FWIW, alt code for pound is 156.
Stu, if you are on a laptop, is your number lock on (F11)? Have you tried holding Fn Alt and typing 156?
tried it all..nothing works...I had the function working well (just alt0128 and then lost it out of the blue.
Could your default font somehow have been changed?
