Posting links to ones own website.

I am getting a little cheesed off with one poster giving links to either his wife's website or as recently his own.
Whilst the links maybe to more information on the subject posted about they hardly give full answers to the questions. Both websites are hardly blog, they are commercial websites. Links are like this help drive traffic thus promote the website and if read they may produce work form them.
I am fed up with this. Why does this forum always allow this? Am I going to be allowed to give links to my website when someone asks about the region I live in or want ideas about wine regions of Spain?
Admin you have my email address so if you want to discuss away from this forum please email me.
