how to find a descent hotel before reaching the destination??
and is it necessary to book hotels beforehand???

Welcome to Fodors -you have posted on Forums Help which is for problems/questions about using the website.

You need to re-post on the Forum of where you are traveling. Asia, United States, Europe - wherever. See the "Change Forum" pull down menu? When you do re-post, it would help if you gave some more details like where, when, budget, etc.
