It is so __________ cold here in NH right now!
Air temp is around 8 degrees and the wind chill makes it feel around -5, but it really doesn't matter if it's negative 5 or any other negative number, it's dangerous to be outside for more than a few minutes without serious winter gear on.
The only saving grace right now is that we have electricity (high winds have been knocking it out tonight in some areas) and the last huge snow storm went south of us and dumped on Massachusetts instead.
Is it freezing cold where you live right now?

YES! I feel like an ice cube in my own house, even though the heat has been coming on like every hour! I hope the wind dies down by the morning.
Yes! But it's not just freezing cold outside, it's bitter!
House is nice and toasty, though. I'm going to freak when I see this heating bill next month!
It is freezing here in Tenn. also, but I can never complain much since our son and his wife live in New Hampshire so no matter how cold we are it is always so much colder there.
It is about 26 right now.
My house stays toasty. 68 on the main level means the upstairs is almost too hot for comfortable sleeping - in part b/c the heat comes on constantly.
Yes, it is what passes for freezing here in the harbor. This time of year I tend to go with shorts, t-shirt and bare feet. Crank the heat up to 84, close the blinds and turn all the lights on. Put on a little Marley...the old man...not his kid. Mix a tropical drink and I could be anywhere...but I'm not. The days are getting longer. We are already picking up 45 seconds a day! That's a plus. No wonder my Celtic ancestors got so crazy over the rebirth of Sun! I am thinking Islamorada. Could happen.
It's the same her in NYC area. City temps in the low teens and wind chill of zero. The northern suburbs are colder with wind chills of - 10 (farenheit for those from milder climates).
I have the heat up to 80 and it reads only 65. The wind is so biting, my lips feel like they had a collogen injection when walking the dog. Dead and weak limbs of trees have dropped all over my neighborhood. My only warmth came from my Uggs that kept my feet very warm, a cashmere cap and lined lether gloves still had me cold.
it's 76 here in Hawaii. Was 56 last week so I know how it feels to freeze.
cigale, try adding some pants.
The fierce winds are making the cold temps feel even colder. I even have my heat on in the apt., which is a rarity for me.
LOL. Im only good without tem
Here in Portland, OR it is cold, but the biggest thing was the surprise snow that hit today and has really impacted the entire area. We usually don't get much, so it is a big deal
Yes. We're snuggling in bed a lot with loads of covers. Suggest everyone do the same.
We left Southern California this morning with sunny skies and temps heading almost to 70, landed in Indiana to 18 and snow. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Back to reality.
Stay warm to all of us living in the frozen tundra.
matnikstym- your post made me guffaw; we know how cold 65 feels in Hawaii!
Enjoy your snow, mms! I think Portland probably handles snow about as well as Seattle, yes?
Nope, a beautiful day here in northern Queensland, Australia. Cool enough to work hard in the garden this morning but warm enough for a swim at Lake Eacham afterwards. While Melbourne is baking and Adelaide is roasting it is pleasantly warm in Cairns but up here on the Tablelands it is just perfect.
It's Effing 34 here in Pensacola!!! I'm freezing and Sal keeps wanting to jump into my pants (for warmth) nuts!
Coldcoldcold (okay, in the 20's, but really really windy) here in Philadelphia. My family (sisters, BIL's, and 16 nieces and nephews) was out and about in town today, and most of the littles practically rolled instead of walked due to their amount of bundling.
My cats seem comfy enough (lol, in reality they live like kings!). They have cozy little cat beds to sleep in. Put your hand under them after about 10 minutes and it's an oven!
Z-cat, you are on the wrong end of Florida.
I thought there was only one armpit.
lennyba--Yup, lol! DH made it back from Salem in the knick of time. They closed hwy99w north of Newberg right after he made it though. If he would have taken I-5, it would have taken nearly 4 hours. He made a good call!
Not that I want to argue, Challiman (You know, kinder gentler Fodor's) BUT I will respectfully correct you. It was in the 60's today! I considered wearing a coat here in So Cal. Freezing, I tell ya!
I'm from L.A. area and it's around 65F-70F, on average, depending on what part of L.A. County one is in. And I've yet to have to wear a coat. The sun is out and it's gorgeous and I assume folks will be sleeping on the streets, here in Pasadena, in their beach chairs, the night before the Rose Parade, as they've done since I first went, as a child, back in the mid 60s.
I was out until midnight the other evening and wearing a 100% cotton turtleneck , a very lightweight cashmere pullover sweater, a knee length skirt, and knee boots and I was fine. And I'm one who detests cold weather, but that wasn't what I'd call "cold" weather. One of my best friends e-mailed me from Denmark where it had dropped to minus 12 degrees Celcius in her area, she said. Now, that's cold. Here, I've seen plenty people still in sandals. Happy Travels!
It was a bear here on L.I. yesterday; esp w/the wind.
I had annual check-up; said I'd go thru w/it if I didn't
have to disrobe much!!!
It's not as cold as it was here in the Netherlands, but another cold snap is expected after NYD (-3C Saturday and -6C by Monday as daytime temps -12C as night-time low).
Today it is 0C. There is snow/sleet/rain threatened. I hope we don't get freezing rain here but it is possible as we are on the edge of two weather systems at the moment - it is 9 degrees warmer in Maastricht than here, and in Groningen, in the north is about -2C at the mo.
Freezing rain would certainly mess up tomorrow nights celebrations.
The wind yesterday made it miserable. I had grocery shopping to do and I'm really glad I can drive into the garage and unload the car in a fairly warm space. I'm in NH too. We have the bird feeders up and it's hard to believe those little critters survive this kind of weather. The suet holder blew around so much it was hard for the birds to cling to it. Just recently it was so nice we took a jeep ride through the woods and it was too warm to sit in front of a south window. But we have it pretty easy compared to areas of the country where it can get to minus 30.
Here in SE Penn. (on the Maryland/ Del.border) it's in the 20's and nasty winds, More snow for NEW Years Eve!!
M.
Boston is icy cold, windy, and miserable! No snow though - they say it will get rain. I don't care for either!
Yes! Cold enough to freeze the phlegm on the sidewalk. Ahhh, New York.
Cold here in Texas. In 40's today and supposed to hit 32 tonight and may even hit 19 by Thursday, with highs in the 30's. That is very cold for Texas. My house is nice and toasty though, 70 in the day (I work from home so gotta keep it comfortable) and 68 at night. Busted out the humidifier though, because it was starting to get too dry for me.
77 degrees in L.A. today. Surf's up! Happy Travels!
Nope, here in Perth it's about 83 F, a nice change from the 104 F we had on Monday. I miss winter.
About 75 degrees today here in Nelson New Zealand. Had a great time listening to jazz outside and drinking wine this afternoon.
My DD on the other hand who is living in NYC saidon facebook that it is freakin' cold!!!!!
It's beautiful here in Sydney - a really lovely evening. Gentle warm breeze, sun still shining at 6.25pm. Jealous????
cathies: one word: Yes!! It is pretty nippy with snow on the ground here in Oklahoma.
Not really. Between +1 and -1.
But we've had an enormous snow dump overnight, the town's been practically cut off since yesterday afternoon (the trains are running, though, so we can get in and out though the delivery vehicles can't) and there's more snow on our medieval buildings than anyone can remember in decades.
It's now deeper almost everywhere than the flannerpooch's height. So he's getting round by doing huge leaps, which means his fur is full of mini tennisballs. He doesn't like them - but he dislikes me trying to get them off even more, and I'm quirkliy partial to keeping both hands, so he looks like a pooch someon'e stuck ping pong balls on.
The food shops are out of fresh veg (this is the town's first winter since they invented Just In Time), and the whole population, including most dogs, is wandering round snapping the buildings, the empty food shelves, the dogs and everyone else taking photos.
At least it isn't cold.
It's about 15 degrees here in central Vt. this morning. Not too bad for this time of year. But during the cold snap in late December that prompted this thread, 2 water mains broke in Montpelier because of the low temperatures combined with little insulating snow cover.
-5 C (23F) here today. Bright sun. Lovely
I think it almost hit 80 here in Southern California yesterday...
Now that sounds even better than my 23F MomDD
.
No money for a quick burst of California sun though
I was thankful last night - it was a beautiful evening - not taking it for granted.
-19*C where I live, -30°C in northern parts of the country (Finland), no idea what those are in Fahrenheit. Heaps of snow, in fact so much that at some points it is difficult to pass another car because the roads are now so narrow with all the snow ploughed to the sides. Nobody has had time to drive it to a dumpster or wasteland. It is funny how thick snow mutes all the noise.
But since snow and cold are the norm in January, it is not an excuse to stay home and miss school and work.
24F here in North Eastern New Jersey, the warmest morning in days but still freezing. But nowhere near as cold as it was when I was a child and had to walk five miles a day to school, in the snow, up hill, both ways.
>>>nowhere near as cold as it was when I was a child and had to walk five miles a day to school, in the snow, up hill, both ways.<<<
I know. Every time I start my kids say:" Yeah, yeah, that was when you had to ski to school every morning in pitch dark and poke the wolves away with your ski pole."
It's -3F here currently (8am) with a windchill of -16F. They're predicting another 4-8" of snow tonight and tomorrow. Why did I come home from Egypt???
Unfortunately my office is on a college campus and they've dropped the heat campus wide while the students are away. Our office is FREEZING. I left a soda on my desk yesterday and it got colder as it sat there. I'm wearing my winter boots, long underwear, one of my warmest sweaters, fingerless gloves and I have a space heater (that I'm not allowed to have) and I'm still frozen. I think they set the boilers to put out just enough heat to keep the pipes from freezing and not a single bit warmer.
Here in the sunny South it is cold for us here in N. Myrtle Beach m S.C. Wake up to the 20ies and it does get up to 40,but cold for us with the wind. I did take a walk on the beach several days ago when there was little wind. We may get a few flakes of snow on Thur.night, but rare for here.
I lived many years ago when my 40 year old daughter was born near the Shenador Valley. It was terrible for me with 20 inches of snow. Then with a crying baby born in Jan. I learned I do not like snow and cold like that. Back to coastal S.C. for me.
it is!

More snow and even lower temps are "promised" for the weekend............
SV
It is about 40 degrees here in the Sacramento Valley (Northern California) but it is damp due to the very low and dense fog. I hate fog! The Sacramento Airport is reporting delays of up to two hours due to the fog. Visability is only 1/4 of a mile so drivers are being warned to be very careful.
We don't need fog, what we need is rain and also snow in the Tahoe area.
Just expecting the next major snowfall here in Chicagoland(10+ inches), but we like the snow and this is just an average type winter here.
btw: I just checked, surf isnt up in SoCal
Going down into the 20's all the way to Key West tonight. Say good-bye to our orange crop
avalon,
They are selling bags(6-8?) of oranges up here for $1.50, so much of that loss has already been realized
"Going down into the 20's all the way to Key West tonight."
Weather channel shows tonight's low in Key West as 52 and no lower than 48 for next 4 days.
But it does look like areas around and north of Orlando will dip below freezing for 2-3 nights this weekend, putting crops at risk.
I hate Guenmai and Dawn.
OK, I really don't. I'm just insanely jealous.
I think it's about 5 Fahrenheit where I live, and I'm just happy it is above 0. Well, at least all those nasty insects are DEAD.
Poohgirl,
I worked in northern MN one year, the bugs were worse than the cold.
Here in western MA it is 16 F, but at least there is no wind so it is not so bad as earleier last week. We have plenty of snow cover from the weekend storm. Even though I shoveled, still have to put on boots every time I go out. It's getting old (and it's only January!)
Cat hates it. She goes to the door, but as soon as I open it, she sniffs and runs back into the kitchen. Then she tries the front door and in disgust, realizes that is no better. Now she has pretty much given up even thinking about it.
It has been warm again in south central Alaska. Last week, there were four really cold days, but the ground and trees were coated were hoare frost, on top of the snow we have had, which isn't a lot.
Then a front from the south(referred to as the pineapple express) kicks it up to the 20's and 30's, like now. It's 37 and the cat is still happy to go out hunting, and keep his stomach from expanding like a Sumo wrestler.
However, we have had few of the minus 20 days yet.. those are the worst, with wind chill. I have gone to bed with socks on for a few years, even with flannel and down. It really makes a difference.
Corvette, How many hours of daylight do you get? That would be the hard part for me.
Irish,
My dogs absolutely LOVE the snow
LOL Frank. There are times when I was convinced I was going to need a blood transfusion after those awful mosquitos were finished with me.
Currently 23F here in Middle Tennessee. We are under a winter weather advisory and snow is expected tomorrow. It won't be a lot but the way people are here it will shut the entire mid-state down. I better go get some more milk! I would love to see these folks survive the winter of '83 in Taboe. That was snow.
Warmer today 23 degrees F. The cold front from upper mid west is headed to NY (Syracuse) this weekend. We had about 4 feet of snow fall since the new year. No problems getting around though. The plowing service here is top notch!
elina- would you happen to live near Kemi? (Maybe you are farther north with all the snow you have been getting.) My mother was born in Kemi.
No, not from Kemi, I am from south, but there is A LOT of snow also here. I have a path to the mailbox, and snow is over my waist on both sides of the path.
Freezing cold here in ATL....I have my heat dish on in the family room.
I am delighted to say that while almost all of the cities where we lived in the past are in the ice box today, here in the Seattle area we are enjoying temperatures in the 40s...overnight low was 42 at my house.
Poohgirl: LOL! I needed my laugh for the day. An now for you to hate me more....Last Saturday, I zipped over to my best friend's house in The Valley and it was so warm until I had to turn on the car air conditioning. Well, what's one to do if one doesn't have a convertible? LOL! While at her house, I felt like diving into her pool, but didn't have my suit.
Then after I left her house, I needed to zip over to the James Perse flagship store in Malibu to do some shopping. So, I went from The Valley through the canyons to get there. Beautiful drive. Crystal blue skies and lots of green trees, grass, etc.
When I got to around Pepperdine Malibu University, I looked down from the hill and the ocean was jam packed with huge sailboats with white sails. The sky was Crayola blue, the temperature probably at least 75. Surf's up! The surfers were out!
I stretched out in one of the comfortable, padded beach lounge chairs in front of the James Perse Malibu flagship store and soaked up some rays between shopping. Priceless. Happy Travels!
Yes. The electronic sign said -1 degrees F when I drove in today. We are supposed to get 10 inches of snow in the next 48 hours too.
GRRRRRRRRRR. You are evil personified, Guenmai.
Dawn, it got to about 77 here in San Diego. Gets chilly overnight, though. Supposed to be like this for the next week or so.
I'm really cold here in Miami! It's 57 right now, and was 45 when we woke up this morning! I know that isn't nearly as bad as most places, but I'm not used to it! Our condo building doesn't even have central heat! Fortunately, our apartment faces east and gets lots of morning sun, so it warms the place up pretty well. I use an electric blanket and space heater too. Brrrr! I think the air conditioning is still on in our office building.
It's -5C./22F.in Waterloo, Ontario Canada with approximately 1 - 2 in. of snow, which is not too bad for us. As the week progresses it will become colder -10C.
All in all, I still prefer the 4 seasons. Although spring is officially 2+ months away I have reconciled that idea by pulling out my gardening books.
I went to the grocery store after work last night and on the side of the road saw little glowing eyes coming towards me, off to the side. Too close to the ground to be a deer, and when I got closer I saw it was a raccoon trotting along pretty quickly in the snow along the side of the road. I thought "little buddy, what the hell are you doing, go find a warm hidey hole!" It was 26 degrees and windy at 7 PM...
It's 66 degrees in San Diego. BRRRR!!
Actually it has been a little chilly at night, dipping down into the low 50's.
Freezing in St Pete. 40's for the high, somewhere just above freezing for the low. I understand people do, but I just don't understand liking cold weather, it's dreadful. Not to mention having 4 cats stacked up against me in bed like (very heavy) logs.
Heck yes, it's cold here - has been ~20 degrees below normal for a couple of weeks now. And as an added treat, we're due for anywhere from 3-8" of light fluffy snow overnight and high winds tomorrow to blow all the roads shut.
FrankS: The paper says around 6 hours of daylight, but it isn't that short in this part of the state. I would say 8 without needing outdoor lights, and we are required to drive with head lights all year long.
It was sloppy today, with wet snow, which turned to sort of a soft ice on the main and side roads.. if it stays warm, we are good. Usually, the city crews try to scrape it away and sand, before we are caught with our pants down.
We had a mess after Thanksgiving, when it snowed, started melting, and froze up, making the bumpy patches, which they can't do much about.
Every year, the h.s choir orders fruit from an orchard in Florida, as a European trip fundraiser. It's expensive, but a treat. I hope the navel oranges will be good.
Corvette: we got FL oranges and Texas grapefruits for Christmas, through our local FFA chapter. They were wonderful! And with all the holiday crap we ate, we felt we were at least getting a little nutrition.
For some reason, it always amazes me when places in Alaska are warmer than Iowa in the winter...
I need some friends who live in warm places!!!
My son in Lakeland, Florida was whining because at 2 a.m. this morning the temp there was the same as it was here in mid-Michigan, 24 degrees! I told him that at least he doesn't have a layer of snow on the ground and a layer of ice on the roads. I think that was a first for him in the 15 years he's lived there.
Minus 29C here this morning (that's minus 20F)... hoping they are right about it warming up to minus 8C tomorrow!
It's freezing here in Raleigh ... I put an extra quilt over my down blanket for tonight. Have family in Ocala, Florida, and they're in shock!!!
One of the news stories today was that this morning it was warmer here (almost 50oN) than in parts of Florida. We've had bizarre weather--green Christmas, days of rain, 8C temp--but I kind of feel sorry for folks in Florida, because we're equipped for cold weather here. I doubt they're ready for it--physically or mentally!
Sad thing about Florida is that they will almost certainly lose a lot of that beautiful citrus and strawberries!
It's about 60 now, but tomorrow it's supposed to drop into the 20s. Bye-bye hibiscus and plumerias.
Poohgirl: You are hilarious! I'm totally cracking up laughing right now.
Go to www.jamesperse.com and scroll to the bottom and then click on "Stores" and a mini slide show will start. When you get to the third picture, you'll see a black, wooden structure. That's the Malibu flagship store.
Well, that's where I was stretched out on a James Perse, custom beach lounge, and basking in the sun. Other customers were playing table tennis out in front of the store as James also does a customized table tennis table. Feel the warmth. Feel the warmth. LOL! Smiles. Happy Travels!
Cold enough but not yet in the teens in NYC. It's warm enough indoors, at about 70-degrees, so no extra coverups needed. When outdoors, if it's not windy, just layers under a a wool jacket. But if windy, the fur/s come out... Screw PETA. Plenty of fur on the streets here and why not! They keep you warm and one doesn't look like the Michelin guy, all rolly-polly!
It's winter for sure, but soon enough we'll be complaining it's too hot! What goes around comes around next season!
LOL! Happy Travels!
I am freezing, although I know that we aren't suffering THAT badly compared to a lot of places. It was -5 when Mr N came into work yesterday about 6am, and it is getting to about 1 or 2 degrees during the daytime.
I'm feeling it worse than usual this year. I'm either getting old or it's a side effect of the problem I had with my sympathetic nervous system earlier in the year (which controls your temperature). My broken wrist hand is def. effected, it's permanently icy right now, even if the rest of me is warm.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The office is in an old building, not well insulated, the radiators are up full but we're still all cold. All sitting here in boots and jumpers and gloves.
Damnit, I used to love snowy weather.
Oh bless, I just popped into the office downstairs (which is smaller and so warmer than ours) and a chap there is sitting in a big parka and woolly hat as well! He comes from a hot country so he's really feeling his first cold winter.
It is still -6C here as I write (nearly midday). I'm getting used to it now, and don't mind it so much, though there is a nasty wind getting up which makes it feel a lot colder. It was -14C here last night.
Snow forecast for the weekend. I'm hoping it will miss us again. I really don't like snow, never have, never will. The thought of struggling out with the dogs in the snow again is very depressing.
The huge fleece jacket my husband bought me a couple of years ago from Canada is earning it's keep - I'm nice and toasty in that when I go with the dogs. It's great. I never needed it before really as it was always too warm, but now I love it.
It's getting colder, it is now -7.5C. Windchill makes it feel like -14C
.
About the Florida cold. This reminds me of my honeymoon for my first marriage. We were living in the Midwest at the time and took a honeymoon to Aruba, but we stopped in Miami first for a few days to take in the New Year there. We were hoping for warm weather, but they were having the same freak weather that year that they are having this year. It was around 50 in the day and 30s/40s at night in Miami. We had rented a jeep but ended up having the top on and the heat on instead of the top off!
It was crowded as hell and with cold weather, I was thinking "Is this what Florida is like in the winter?" Then, we took the flight to Aruba and it was sunny and around 82. After that I realized that if I wanted warm tropical weather in the winter, there was no way I'd ever head to Florida in January, especially with the high prices and crowds.
Since then, I've tried to figure out the best times to visit Florida. I had a job for a few years that brought me to Florida (Orlando) for several business trips per year to Central Florida. Central Florida weather is ideal in March, but it's so crowded because of Spring Breakers.
What I found out is that the best month to visit Florida is April. All the snowbirds are out, the weather is perfect in all ways, even in the northern part of the state (Panhandle).
Anyway, I thought I'd mention this since we were talking about cold weather.
The reason I mentioned this is because they were interviewing tourists in South Florida who were disappointed because they were expecting 70's/80's and it was in the 50's. Sorry, but if you want guaranteed 70's/80's in January, you need to head to the Caribbean.
Hey, cold weather people, where do you go to buy long underwear, the cozy thin kind? I would love to buy a pair for when we have these 40 degree temperature drops.
Yes, it's 8 degrees outside. Windchill is way below zero. My downstairs heater went out (again!) and when we got up this morning it was 36 degrees downstairs. My fridge is warmer than the air temp in my kitchen. I guess it's alright to stand in front of the fridge with the door open.
Sorry I'm venting but this is two days in a row. Hoping the repairmen solve the problem so it doesn't happen again.
BeachGirl247, sounds like time for a new energy efficient furnace for you.
I just had to put the heat on 71 as my office faces the north and even with the heat on 70 the draft is too cold...
It's 28 degrees in Austin, TX right now at 1:10 PM. It was 14 degrees this morning. However, we will start the gradual moderation starting tomorrow (40's) and then into the 50's and 60's by next week (hurray!)
28 in Austin is cold! Stay warm. 50's sound wonderful!!
bkluvsNola, we only had to replace the computer board and all is well. Thankfully, the unit isn't very old so we don't have to replace. We have plenty of other things to replace/repair in my 103-year old hacienda.
80F today here in L.A. Next week the cold spell will hit and it'll be around 65F-70F and a little rain for a while. It usually doesn't last that long though. But, I might get to wear one of my new coats! Happy Travels!
BeachGirl247, where are you? You mentioned 0 degrees so I assume you live somewhere up north?
After a respite of a few weeks, we're back to 0 degrees here in the lovely sub-arctic state of New Hampshire.

We stay warm by reminding ourselves that it's a lot colder just to the north in Canada!
75 last week; 35 this week!
Man, we're freezing right now, had to turn up the heater to 74, since outside it has to be in the 60's. Brrrrrrr!
Yep, we're the wimps from So. Cal.
no it's 30 degreesC here in Nelson new Zealand, that is 90F. It's HOT.
Because we have relatives in Toronto we keep track of the weather there...right now it's 14 degrees F. Brrrr.
Last night I think it was 1 degree F.
Cold again in Austin. In upper 40's today, so not as cold as earlier in the month but still cold for TX standards.
It's Freezing-to-Death in the Florida Panhandle.
I'm serious!
brr.
Gorgeous here in Sydney again, 27 C with a light breeze.
It is -9 F in north central Vt this morning shortly before 8, up slightly from -12 a few hours ago. I read -15 early yesterday morning.
volcanogirl,
Here in Michigan you can get long underwear at sporting goods stores, but I'm not sure they have them in stock in warmer-weather states. I got mine at LL Bean; Land's End and Eddie Bauer also carry them.
It's about 16 F here, but with the wind chill, it's about 4. Although it's not below zero, it's still too cold for me! Not a lot of snow, though.
It just the humidity.
Michigandra, yes! It does feel almost balmy, though, compared to the 6 degree temperature reading around 4 this morning. (No, I've not been awake that long. I woke up after a bad dream--a little PTSS after losing the job--and went to the bathroom and got more water to drink.)It's very overcast today, and I see the occasional snowflake swirling about. It's almost as though it's too cold to snow.
BC
Last night in Ottawa it was -24C (about -10F), but that's far from a record for this time of year. A bit brisk as our blood's still somewhat thin from 3 weeks in South America where temperatures were in the mid 30's Celsius.
The great thing about the weather when it gets below -15C or so is that the skies are usually clear blue and the sun is bright.
Tomorrow it will be warming up to -5C (23F) so it will be a great day for skiing!
New Jersey is back in the icebox again. At least there is no snow and we expect an improvement mid-week. Chicago was warmer than we were this morning.
Thanks, michigandra! We've already had 3 freezes this year, and we aren't prepared for this stuff. I went to Target to try to find the long underwear, and they had one pair of bottoms that was XXL and one top that was XS - kind of a pathetic selection!
