Zurich Airport Train to City: Remind Me
In all the years I've traveled through ZRH I have always had some sort of pass. This time around I'll be buying tickets. I know where the platforms are and I assume there are ticket machines, is that correct? Does anyone know if they accept notes or do I need change? Thanks very much.

Why not just go to the cashier for the tickets, then you won't gave to worry about needing change. That's where we always buy our passes or our individual tickets when coming down from the ZHR airport into the railroad..

Just in case your final destination in downtown Zurich is on the Eastern side of the Limmat or somewhat NE of the city center, or requires a change to tram anyway, tram 10 could be an alternative from the airport.

Hi, Having just gone thru the Zurich train station, I suggest you go early. Sounds like you know this station, but we did not. It was a tad confusing and there were about 25 people in line at the ONE information office, and one person in it. There did seem to be a place to purchase tickets. Good luck. We nearly missed our train to Zermatt, as we could not figure out which train to get on....but figured it out just in time. Sue

Sue81, I do not need to buy any tickets at the main station, just at the airport machines. I am taking a train the next morning from that main station to Milan but I ordered that ticket on line several months ago.
I appreciate your concern nonetheless.
