Zermatt/hotel

Hi, I would appreciate some suggestions for about a 3 star hotel in Zermatt, with elevator if several stories, Swiss style with modern bath/tub/good view of Matterhorn/ maybe out a bit from the touristy part if possible, but also not too far from the train. Thanks. Sue

I may have sent this before but it did not show up on forum? delete if duplicate please.

My friends regularly stay at a 4 star hotel in Zermatt and rave about it. It has fabulous views. Firefly

We've chosen Le Petit Charme Inn for the rooftop terrace/Matterhorn views....but I can't tell you much about it because we haven't stayed yet.

I have stayed twice at the Hotel Daniela. It is owned by the same Julen family as the Julen Hotel and Hotel Alpenhof. Staying at the Hotel Daniela gives you free privileges at the wonderful Julen (great pool) and Alpenhof wellness spa areas. I always stay in the same room with a view of the Matterhorn. They have an electric shuttle to take you back & forth from the train station. Hubby and I will stay there again when we visit Zermatt for the fourth time next year.

HI, I wonder if someone can compare the Ommi in Zermatt with the Butterfly. They both look lovely. Trying to decide. Sue

I've stayed in both the Alpenhof and the Butterfly amongst others. I'm sorry I have not stayed in the Omni but the Butterfly is what some would call a very stereotypical "chalet style" place with the blond wood and decoration. It is not luxurious but certainly more than adequate.

Have you LOOKED at the interior pictures of BOTH on TripAdvisor and Booking.com and NO they are not "fake" pictures.

That's Hotel OminiA right? Classed 5*, vs Butterfly which is 3*, you don't see the difference in price? Or it does not matter to you?
