Zermatt in the rain?

I'll be in Zermatt in a week or so & it looks like they might get some rainy weather. Since we had planned 3 days of hiking, I'm wondering if any of you have been there in bad weather. I'm trying to think of alternative activities for my family if it's too wet to hike!

Hi Laurelt -

Yep, I've been to Zermatt in bad weather, but we just put on our waterproof jackets and hike anyway.

If that's not an option, you might consider taking the train and bus to Saas Fee and spending a day there - assuming the weather is better there that is - it's in the next valley over from Zermatt, and you can hike from there as well.
