Hi,
Me and my husband are off for Zermatt on 1.12 for 4 days.
In your opinion, what are the best options for:
a scenic railway route that leads to glacier views etc.
a guided snowshoe walk (with a guide, since we're klutzes)
great gourmet restaurants for fondue or other local food?
sleigh places?
(we already have a hotel)
Thanks!!!
Zermatt - Best scenic railway, sleigh, snowshoe walk, restaurant?

Other than the railway up from Visp which you will have to use above Tesch there is only one scenic railway..the Gornergrat up to view the peak; you can use one of the cableways at the other end of the village for viewing.
Assume you have already checked out the website www.zermatt.ch; if not, suggest you do so.
Hi,
Enjoy your break in Zermatt.
Can't advise on the railway or walk, but as a big foodie, I'm very happy to suggest a restaurant. Check out Restaurant Schaferstubli. Not fondue focused, but some great local fare - try the lamb, it's really good!
Which hotel did you pick?
