LL Bean (wwwllbean.com) is a great US catalog for outdoor gear. They ship anywhere but you'll have to pay duty.

Lots of UK stores now offer shopping online. A few more to try are - www.wellbeing.com (Boots) - www.debenhams.com - www.johnlewis.com - www.littlewoodsextra.com - all these have good gift ideas, but I'm not sure they have anything so specific for skiers as Hawkshead.
