Would you go to Koln or Luxembourg

Going to Beligum and France and want to add another city to our trip. Just wanted to see which city would be more enjoyable to visit?

I would head slightly south of Cologne to Koblenz instead for a visit to the Middle Rhine Valley and the Mosel Valley.

I agree with Russ. I'm sorry that I left the middle Rhine Valley to spend a few days in Cologne. Other than the Dom, I wasn't very impressed with it. Yes, there are some cute cafes along the river... but the small towns along the Rhine are much better IMO.

What cities will you visit in Belgium and France?
For how many days do you want to visit "another" city?
What do you like more? Architecture, art museums, history, just walking ?

Answer valtor's questions and you'll answer your own.

I loved the Ludwig museum in Koln. How long would you stay in Koln? We did one overnight and then headed down the Rhine.

By no stretch of anyone's imagination can Luxembourg be called a city.

Luxembourg the country offers a pleasant afternoon's drive if you've got nothing better to do. Luxembourg the overgrown village is an almost entirely charmless collection of 20th century administrative buildings with a handful of 19th century grace notes.

we have 9 nights we are going to Paris for four as well as Brussels and Brugee. Trying to feel in the other days. My husband was just in Amsterdam last month and does not want to go back. We enjoy eating, drinking, people watching, and sight seeing. Any help in planning out the other 5 days would be appreciated.

I understand that you want to visit Brussels and Bruge as day trips from Paris.
How many days do you have for visit (depending on arriving and departing time)?
If this is your first time in these cities, I think that you can spend all 9 days visiting only them. Maximum you can visit more in France: Versailles, Fontainbleu, Reims, etc. as day trips from Paris (all these being very close to Paris).
