Would this work in March?

Jump to last reply

My husband and I are in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Italy next March. I know it's early, but we have a companion ticket on BA the expires March 6th, so need to get that booked ASAP.

We were in Florence and Siena in March a couple of years ago and the weather was nice in Florence and rainy, cold and windy in Siena. We don't really mind that kind of weather unless it interferes with the scenery. In Siena, it seemed to make it even more beautiful. When we got to Rome, it was sunny and warm.

Anyway, this trip we would like to visit Northern Italy and were thinking about flying into Milan for a couple of days, then renting a car for a drive to Bellagio, followed by Cinque Terre, Asti and Torino. We will have about 3 weeks.

We like a variety of things....food, wine, seeing historical places. I know it's impossible to predict the weather, but what do you think about this time of year for these places? Do you have any favorite places in this area that I should include?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
