Wonderful trip to London and Goodwood-September 2011

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all your help in planning our 8 day/9 night trip to London and Goodwood (10-18/September). We had a wonderful time and that's in very large part because of y'all here, particularly janisj and BigRuss.

Hubby and I loved London. It was so easy to get around on the buses and tube; so easy to communicate; so enjoyable to walk in the gorgeous weather looking a fabulous architecture and gardens; so great to eat out at fabulous restaurants and drink in friendly pubs. There is nothing we would change about our trip, except having it last longer!

We look forward to returning soon!.

I'm linking my "blog" www.herewegoagain-london.blogspot.com which has my narrative and pictures.

Thanks again! Nola.

Enjoyed your trip report. Did I spot one of my favourite real ales in a photo- Doom Bar?
Did you mean "Rothschild" tomb in Westminster Abbey? seems unlikely!

bellini, you're right it was Rutherford, nuclear physicist, not Rothschild. Dang R names and my faulty memory... And yes, hubby really liked Doom Bar and chose it whenever it was available.

Hi Nola,

Great trip report, My wife and I are going to Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2013 and have some questions about the hotels or B & B's in the area. We plan to get there by train from London and try and make do without a car. Can we get taxi's or shuttle form Chichester to Goodwood is the big concern. Any information you may have would be a big help.

Oh my goodness . . . Don't know how I missed this when you first posted it. I haven't been to Goodwood in years -- looks like you had a wonderful time.
