Wolverhampton - York - Durham - Edinburgh
Greetings,
I am making plans to celebrate my anniversary in July and would like to ask for suggestion on the route that I have planned.
I'll be departing from Wolverhampton (from a family's home) to Edinburgh, Scotland and on my way, I plan to stop at York and Durham.
Is this a good idea?

Hello Janisj,
I'll be driving. Will be renting a car from Wolverhampton.
I am planning for a 4 days 3 nights tour..Is that good enough?
Question - Have you been to those places?
Any recommendation on what to do/see will be helpful

well - you may have less time than you think . . . generally 3 nights will net you 2 full days and maybe a little time on the 3rd day.
But maybe you have 3 full days -- depending on your plans after Edinburgh? Are you returning to Wolverhampton? flying out? or something else?
With such a short time you probably would be better off taking trains. Wolverhampton to York to Durham to Edinburgh is a long drive - it would eat up almost a full day (about 9 hours) of your limited time - this would be easier/faster by train.
