Will my luggage make it on such a short transit at Heathrow T5
I have a 1:35 hr transfer at Heathrow terminal 5 on my way to MIA and I'm seriously considering taking a small carry-on just in case my large suitcase is delayed and stays behind till the next day.
Do you think 90 mins is enough time for my luggage to make the transfer between the planes?

I only had one hour and 15 minutes to transfer in T5 in October (I was re-booked on the day of travel and would never have chosen this on my own.) My bag made it, but I almost did not. Bring the carry on for sure, but worry about yourself more than a checked bag.

I would take carry-on with essentials irrespective of the layover time. Even if it seemed ample, your carrier can whittle it down to nothing. I was dreading a boring 6 hour layover at ORD, but lo, there was a medical emergency on board and the plane made an emergency stop on the way. By the time we got to ORD, we had less than one hour rush rush through the terminal to make my next flight.
However, is MIA your destination or home? If it is your home, does it matter if luggage get delayed?

I'm glad to know that you guys think my luggage would most likely make it through the transfer. Apparently the real challenge seems to be racing through LHR and finding my MIA gate on time-will let you know how it goes!
