Will my cell phone alarm work in Europe?

Not sure if this is a dumb question - I am pretty sure my Sprint phone will not work overseas, but it is also my regular alarm clock. Will it still keep time even if not connected to the network? Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks!

Not a dumb question at all, and the answer is yes, the alarm clock function will work even though you turn off the network connection for phone service. I have done exactly this with my Sprint Blackberry.

Of course it will if you set it to the local time.
