Will Italian haridryer work in London?

Friends leaving for London next week and wondering if electrical appliances such as a hair dryer bought in Italy will work for them there? Thanks.

You should just need the plug adaptor for the UK.

Just get an adaptor to switch a two prong Italian plug to a three prong U.K socket. That is it.
Don't buy a converter as the voltage is the same, just the number of prongs are different.

different currents???

current is not determined by the country you are in.

itay/uk use similar voltage supplies.

the only difference i noticed was the plug shape

well, my British hairdryer works in Italy, so can't see a problem. You can by the plug adaptor at the airport.
