Why can't I print train tickets
I was sucessful printing PREM tickets (CDG to Nimes) on the TGV-Europe site. However, I am now trying to print tickets from Nimes to Aix en Provence and then from Aix to Nice, and I am not getting the option to print the tickets. One option is to retrieve the tickets from an automated ticket machine. Of course, I would rather print the tickets. Anyone know why this is happening? Also, American Express is not one of the payment options, and it was an option when I purchased the CDG to Nimes tickets.

Probably because you can't print those kind of tickets. There are only a few kinds that you can print--PREMs and the IDTGV. You can't print regular tickets. Nimes to Aix isn't very far, what kind of a ticket is it? If it doesn't offer you that option, then it doesn't exist for the kind of ticket you have. I notice you don't state what kind of ticket you have. IS it a PREM or not?

You are not really giving us much to go on here. PREM (and iDTGV) tickets can be self-printed because these are non refundable tickets meaning there is no way you could print a ticket, use it and then print a second ticket and submit it for a refund.
No matter really why you cannot print your tickets, you will still be able to pick PREMs up at any SNCF service window or at a ticket kiosk if you have an EMV or chipped credit card. If you only have a magnetic strip credit card you will need to follow this procedure to pickup your tickets:
1. At any SNCF service window or boutique, supply the window service agent your reservation number.
2. Present for his physical inspection, the same credit card used in the on line transaction. The agent will verify the numbers on your card match those used in the on-line transaction. If for any reason the numbers do not match (i.e. you credit cards was reissued due to expiration or loss) you will not receive your tickets. The agent can issue a refund to the account as originally charged and you will need to re-purchase tickets at the current price.
Do not leave picking up your ticket until just before you need them. Sometimes there can be lengthy lines at service windows and if you do not allow sufficient time, you can miss your train while waiting in line for tickets.
Note: iDTGV tickets, when picked up at either a SNCF service window or boutique, will incur an additional 5€ charge per ticket.

Well, perhaps you did see a PREM on both, but I don't think they have PREMs between Nimes and Aix. Perhaps you are mistaken and are just seeing a reduce Loisir fare or something, and those are not printable. I think they do have a TGV between those two points, but they are pretty rare (maybe only one a day), so most of the trains in a particular day will not be TGVs between Nimes and Aix.
I would have thought they did between Aix and Nice, but upon a try for a far-off date on a weekday, none showed up, only Loisir Reduit, so I suspect you might be mistaken on that one, also. Maybe they don't have PREMs on that Riviera route, don't know.
They always offer you the option of picking up at a boutique or station, in addition to the machine thing. I know they do. It is marked "retrait en gare ou boutique".
Can't help you on the AMEX thing as they always offer me that choice, and they do on those tickets, I just checked. Now maybe if you checked you would pick up at an automatic machine they don't because they don't accept AMEX in those machines, wouldn't that make sense. But if you check the appropriate box about pickup at the gare, it will offer you that choice.

Thanks to all who responded; I truly appreciate the help. Evidently the tickets I was trying to print are not PREMS since they are refundable. I assumed they were PREMS since they are so much cheaper than the Rail Europe prices. I selected the option to pick up the tickets at an SNCF station in France and printed the confirmation. I will be sure to have the correct credit card with me when I pick up the tickets. Thanks again.

Beejie,
If you are going to a SNCF Boutique be sure to check the hours of the one you are going to. There hours are not the same. Also, best to get there when they open, as they get very busy, with long waits. I did this at the Saint Dominique Boutique. Went mid afternoon and forget it..returned when they opened..they actually opened before the opening hour and people were already there!!
