Who to use for shipping UK to Australia

Hello

My family has been in the UK for a number of months now and I want to ship back a couple of suitcases full of clothes/toys etc to lighten our load whilst travelling through Italy prior to heading back to Australia. I have googled 'shipping UK to Aus' looking for companies, followed up by googling reviews. I can't seem to find a company with a good reputation!! Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Companies I have found include Sevenseas (who i almost booked with until I saw their review rating), excess-baggage, baggage-express (which I think is the same as excess-baggage!), allfreight. I would prefer air freight rather than sea freight as we will need our things when we return.

Thanks

Have you checked with FedEx? Cunnard uses them for their luggage forwarding service. We had no problems with them. Our bag was waiting in front of our cabin when we boarded.

Do not use White and Co, they left loads of stuff in an Auckland shed without telling us and then tried to charge us for the extra storage. In compensation they then offered to ship a fine cupboard to Switzerland and seemed to lose the thing for weeks on end before it turned up in the Belgium office.

So nice on the phone but a sandwich short of a picnic upstairs.

Thanks.
FedEx will be too pricey.
Seems like most companies are "nice on the phone but a sandwich short of a picnic upstairs". Another name to cross off, thanks bilboburgler.
Hopefully someone out there will have had a good experience!

These people are OK, with the caveat that they packed our books end-on with the result that pages got bent. Of course, that is down to the individual packer and not the whole company. Also they may be overkill if you just want to move a few bags. We had a few boxes and lighter pieces of furniture. We used them when they were Ansett-Wridgeways and they seem a lot more high-powered nowadays:
