I've completely overwhelmed myself with all the reviews/recommendations/trip reports here on Fodors, Tripadvisor and Rick Steves' latest Spain book with respect to Granada lodgings. These 3 seem to get top marks from folks and I've been a glutton and reserved rooms at all 3, for our 3 night stay in late June.
Pricing for each for the 3 nights:
Santa Isabel: EUR 375
Plaza Nueva: EUR 250
Casa Del Capital: EUR 281
Can someone please help me narrow this down to one hotel? Creature comforts and location matter since we're spending a few days - we'd like to be situated in a place where get get the whole Granada experience (for those that haven't seen my other posts,. the hubs and I are big "hanger-outers" - stick us in a town square or pub with a drink/coffee in our hands and we're happy to watch life go by; not big noisy partiers at all) so I'm not sure if its better to be in one part of Granada or another (we prefer less toursity). Kind of splurging on our pad in Sevilla (attic room of Hotel Amadeus) so would love thoughts as to if on hotel is worth the extra $ or not.
Thank you!
which Granada hotel: Santa Isabel, Plaza Nueva or Casa Del Capitel Nazari?

Hi AandED
We lodged at the Casa Del Capitel Nazari Hotel close to 4 years ago when we toured Andalucia. I wouldn't hesitate to use the hotel again and I'm happy to recommend it.This is from my trip report and I hope it helps. If you need more information let me know and I'll try and help.

Our hotel there was the Casa del Capitel Nazari which is located in the most historical part of the city in the area right below the Alhambra. The hotel is a converted 16th century Renaissance palace, personal and charming with original beams, tiled floors and internal Andalucian courtyards and we loved it. Find their website and check out their rates. Unbelievably economic rates. The rooms are small and quirky which we loved and all had A/C, mini-bar, TV etc. Very, very pleasant and filling breakfast and coffee on tap all day and night.
The remainder of the first day we just explored the medieval Albaicin district where the hotel was located. Great shopping opportunities, plenty of restaurants and the whole area make you very aware of how old and important the city is.

I forgot about Alcubilla del Caracol. Haven't made a rezo there but know it's high on folks' lists. Thanks again!!
