Which area of South Kensington London is nicer?

Jump to last reply

South Kensington tube or Gloucester tube? I am looking at 2 apartments, each are about a block from the tube station. I would like to know which area is nicer in your opinion? Which are has better restaurants in walking distance? Quieter at night, etc. We are not party/bar people, we'll be traveling with a 4 month old baby and we're usually home by 10, dont' do night clubs or the like. So quiet, safe for walking at night, close to grocery stores and good restaurants is what we're looking for.

When I look at Google street view, the Gloucester tube station looks like it's in a physically pretty area, but it also looks quiet residential, whereas the South Kensington tube locaiton has more little shops and cheap eateries. Any thoughts?

Apartment 1, Harrington Court

Apartment 2, Avni Luxury,+London,+UK&cid=0,0,15568972479975239348&z=16&iwloc=A

ALso any thoughts on either of these two apartments would be appreciated. I checked and Harrington Court seems to have more negatives but then Avni has less total reviews so who knows!
