Which Airport in Oslo?

I am looking at flying home from Oslo after a cruise, but when I put Oslo into the Kayak box, 2 airports come up. Can someone tell me which is more convenient or better yet, which one is the main airport that will get me home the quickest. Thanks in advance. Sorry I didn't write the names down.

I think you might be asking the wrong question.

The more convenient airport is the one from which the most suitable flights for your needs leave.

Arlanda is the main airport.

Isn't that Stockholm, Padraig?

I think OP must be referring to Torp or Gardemoen. (Fornbu was the nearest but has closed down, I think).

It would also help to know where you are going, OP.

Yes. I had a Homeric moment: I nodded.

Oslo Gardemoen (OSL) will almost certainly be your best option. It is the main airport for both Norway and Oslo. It has more flights to more places than Torp and is half the distance to Oslo and is connected by high-speed train. Torp is very far outside Oslo and is served almost exclusively by low-cost carriers.

Of course, it does depend a bit on where you are going, as Torp might work if you happen to be going to one of the airports served from there.

It's after a cruise, so its an open jaw ticket. We need to get back to NYC or Chicago. Our daughter is in NYC and we live in the Midwest, so either terminal is okay as long as we can get there easily from Oslo. Thank you for your responses.

For NYC, the easiest schedule will be on the Continental non-stop. For Chicago, you can connect through Newark (Continental), Amsterdam (KLM), Paris (Air France), Heathrow (BA and/or AA), or Copenhagen (SAS), all with relative ease.

The Kayak box is on www.kayak.com, it is a just a box where you enter info, such as airports and dates. I didn't know which Oslo airport to enter in the box on Kayak'w web page. Sorry, I didn't explain. Thanks to all for your help. I'm sure I'll have lots more questions before I leave for this cruise.
