I am planning to visit Norway, but other than Oslo in mid december. Any suggestion for this short time?

Hi,

Why not Bergen?

Since you have only two days, I'd recommend doing the Nutshell trip in one day (which is what people normally do). There's a lot of different fjord excursions to do from Bergen.

The other day I would recommend that you spend exploring Bergen. You should find a couple of museums or attractions that you find interesting, then see if the Bergen Card will save you some money. There are several options for sightseeing, both on boat and by bus, including hop on/hop off buses.

One night doesn't give you 2 days - it gives you one full day and perhaps a small part of 2 others.

So what to do depends on how your time is distributed and what you want to see/do. Have you looked at any guide books. With days so short you will barely be able to scratch the surface of Oslo in so little time.

1 night is just 2 x ½ days in which you must be travelling. In order to give any sensible advice we need to know where you are arriving from and departing to on these days and times. In mid December days are very short and probably cold.

Where do you depart from on the morning of the 14? Do you have to be back in Oslo on the night of the 13th?

I am not sure about the place of departure in the morning of 14th yet. But I am sure I am going to Stockholm after that but haven't bought any tickets. I don't have to go back to Oslo.

Why not stay in Oslo? You are just going to be spending your time at airports and travelling with no time to see anything otherwise and remember days are very short in December.
