Where to stop between Dijon & the Loire Valley (Chinon)?

Jump to last reply

After 4 nights in Dijon we will make our way to Chinon in the Loire Valley, where we will have another 4 nights. We can allow 1 or 2 nights on the way, points of interest for us are typically, beautiful villages with great eating and drinking options. Restaurants don't have to Michelin star, but yummy food in a great atmosphere a must. For us our favorite meal EVER was at La Cave de l'Os a Moëlle in Paris. It was a very suburban/local place, no menu, just sit and eat what comes out. And with NO French speaking skills this is a great way to try new things. The flavors and the experience were just perfect.

So I'd love to hear of a special village/restaurant or experience you've had along this route
