where to stay with view, 3 nights in Tuscany between Cinque Terre & Rome?

We have reservations in June for 2 nights in Cinque Terre and 3 nights in Rome, and in between we would like to stay 3 nights someplace in Tuscany. We will have a car. We would really like someplace with a pool and a beautiful view. Previously I stayed in Montalcino at Vecchia Oliviera which was perfect, but they are already full for our dates, and we were thinking maybe someplace in northern Tuscany this time, maybe near Lucca or Barga? I found a room at L'Antico Pozzo in San Gimi but they do not have a pool. We would really like a place that we can use as a base for daytrips to other hilltowns, but someplace very relaxing and quiet. We would like to keep it under around 160 Euros per night but could go a bit higher for the right place. Any ideas?

We stayed at the Fonte Bertusi right outside of Pienza and liked it very much. It is on TripAdvisor I think. I learned of it off of this website though. It was a good place for doing daytrips, the owners were wonderful and the breakfasts were fantastic. We drove to the Cinque Terra after that. Good Luck

Il Falconiere set in vineyards at the base of Cortona has two beautiful pools, and a view of hill top Cortona.

We stayed at locanda san francesco in Montepulciano. No pool, but great views.

Thanks, please keep these ideas coming.

Il Falconiere looks great but out of our price range!
