Where to stay on the Costa de la Luz

Can you recommend a nice resort on the Costa de la Luz. We are pensioners, not good at walking too far, but will have a car, like to be on the coast rather than inland. Good choice of cafes and restaurants, tapas bars, etc.

I've read some good reports about Sanlucar de Barrameda, on the coast west of Jerez de la frontera. I've never been there but I love their wine: Manzanilla, the driest of the Sherries.

On several visits I have stayed in el Puerto de Santa Maria at the 3-star Hotel Santa Maria: A/C, with rooftop swimming pool and across the parking lot from the Ferry to/from Cadiz. It's a hike to the public beach (more than 500m) but if you have wheels ... I consider that a 'nice resort.' It's adjacent to the Osborne Bodega

MatalasCañas Resort west of Doñana says they are on the Costa Ballena. I don't know where Costa de la Luz ends and Costa Ballena begins.

This costa of ... Something definiton is not very clear as this is not a geographic or political definition of an area but more a tourist definition. So some areas like Costa Ballena are in Costa de la Luz but they want to state a diference so they published themselves with a different name.
So i will suggest to talk about precise areas defined by province for example.Cadiz,Huelva, Malaga, or the west of Malaga or the East of Malaga.
the Atlantic side of Cadiz, and so on.
