Where to stay in Ireland Nov 6 day road trip
We are going to Ireland Oct 30-Nov 6. We have 2 nights booked at a B&B in Kilkenny as our first jumping off point from DUB. Hope to see that corner of the country in 2 days.. I would love to hear your thoughts on where we should go and stay next to get the most for the time we have (dingle is not a priority since it would eat up an entire day.... we are heading back to Dublin Nov 4 to be with family...

if you go to dublin, the nicest place to stay is a B&B if you find a nice one with garden.
they treat you so well. it is in their DNA to serve up hospitality with warmth.
I found one in Ballsbridge that made their own brown breads every night. i stayed in a room at the top of the house.
One day after riding a bicycle all through Dublin, I got back to the house soaking wet as a big rain came down whilst I was out.
Kate met me at the door, took the bike and put it into the Conservatory and i went to my room.
a minute later there was a knock on the door and kate had a turkish towel in her hands which she promptly wrapped around my wet hair. But first she set down a tray with a pot of hot tea and honey. I was stunned and so pleased. I had not asked to be served tea. and i could have gotten a towel from my bathroom to use.
It was just the warmth of the Irish.

I just adore Irish B&B's.. that why we have chosen The Laurel's in Kilkenny for 2 nights. I am looking for suggestions for the next 4 days to tour the highlights up to Galway. The last 2 days I am heading to Drogheda (20 min NO from Dublin) to see my family... Haven't een decided where to stay while there.. I am traveling with a girlfriend/coworker.. the hubs has to work.. this will be her first time in Ireland... so ALL suggestions are welcome since we will be winging it and have our own car..
