Where to stay for 1 month in Italy

Jump to last reply

I have one month vacation which I would like to spend in Italy. I toured Italy in Sept and loved the medieval cities such as Spello. I would like to do this trip on a budget so I can stay longer. I am thinking that the longer I stay in one place rather than travelling around might be more budget friendly. I will not be renting a car and asking light is a challenge. I am thinking about spending 2-4 weeks in an apartment in Florence. Is this too long? It would cost about 1700 euro for a month. Are there enough daytrips accessible by public transit? Should I include Paris and or Nice?

I would be most appreciative of your suggestions.
