Where to stay and what do it in Ticino

Jump to last reply

My husband and I will be in the Ticino region of Switzerland May 7-13 and are looking at things to do and places to stay. We are in our late 20s, fairly active, will be renting a car, and I'll be 20 weeks pregnant. I would love to get some advice on what tickled your fancy in the area or what you have heard are some not to miss adventures.

I think we'd prefer to stay in the Lugano region for most of those days, but any advice on day trips from there would be recommended. I'm not opposed to splitting up our vacation into two or three different chunks either. We definitely do not need to stay in one spot the entire week. We do love staying in apartments so that we are able to get a feel for "living" in the area, but I'd love to get some recs for budget hotels or B&Bs as well. Thanks so much!
