We've got 6 days to spend in Spain and we're thinking of flying in to Barcelona and hiring a car and travelling up the coast to Cadaques, staying over somewhere on the way and then on our way back to Barcelona, we would stop over in Girona. Any suggestions?
Where to stay along the Costa Brava coast?

We spent one night in Cadaques at Hotel Playa Sol, which we loved, and two nights in Girona at Hotel Historic. I know that some people like to stay in Begur, which I think is about half-way between Barcelona & Cadaques. We made stops along the way at Tossa de Mar, S'Agaro, & Calallela Palafrugell. They would also make nice overnight stays.
Thanks Kwoo. Will check them out.
I would also opt for Tossa or Begur. Spend at least two full days in Cadaques - see the Dali house in Port Lligat and drive along Cap Creus. I also recommend the Dali Museum in Figueres.
We liked Tossa de Mar---good beach.
