Where To Spend Four Days In Europe

Jump to last reply

I will be in Berlin during May, 2014. Besides spending time in Germany, I have 3-4 days available to see someplace else. If at all possible, I'd like to fly to one place, and use that as my base. I am considering Stockholm, and some place in Switzerland. Can you recommend any other places to consider, which are easy to get to, and which would be a good base to use, to see that area?

I am a pretty typical tourist. I like quaint towns and villages. I like cities, as long as they have some charm and personality. For example, I've enjoyed Dublin, and Munich. I'm okay with a museum or two, if they are special. I enjoy seeing beautiful vistas and countryside, and mountains are special to me. I'm not a hiker or camper, so don't need that kind of experience. I enjoy my creature comforts too much. Hopefully, this will give you some idea of what I would like. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
