Where to spend eight February nights in Greece?

Jump to last reply

My postgrad daughter and I plan eight nights in Greece the end of February. I think five nights in Athens, and three on Peloponnese, or split evenly. I'd like to avoid driving, if possible. Where would a landlocked US Midwesterner best base ourselves on the peninsula? We won't dream of swimming, but would like to see the Aegean from the shore sometimes, and would love to visit sites from myth and drama. Is there an interesting central town with good bus connections, or somewhere along the coast?
