Where to see WC in Paris?

Is it on regular channels or something like Canal Plus or Sky?

Otherwise, is there a sports bar, maybe one with HDTV?

Surely even the French would be excited about their team in the semi-finals.

Want to see both games, including Germany-Italy on July 4 at 9 PM GMT, if I'm not mistaken.

Don't worry - everywhere that has the World cup on will have toilets

But if you want help, I'd re-post with World Cup in your title. Most ever one will equate WC w/ loo, toilet, conveniences, bathroom, etc . . . . .

Just returned from Paris. Don't worry. You will see it easily. Every single bar and small cafe had the World Cup on - as did the night clerk in our small hotel lobby. It was a fun cultural experience to watch it with the locals: All jammed into a small area, simultaneously cheering, whining, oohing, aahing... it was great!!

How funny.

I thought this thread referred to water closets in Paris, too.

Ditto for me. Not being a sports fan, I thought that maybe scrb wanted to do a WC tour, much like a pub crawl.

I think I've seen enough of them in my travels that I'll pass on that tour ;-)

"Surely EVEN the French would be excited their team in the semi-finals."

With that attitude, why would you even go to France in the first place?

Of course they are excited, that's why they are spending so much time in the WC.

Anyway, the matches are on TF1 (channel 1). The mob scene is on the big screens at Charlety Stadium with 30,000 francs. Just about every café worthy of the name also has big screens to watch the remaining games.

That would qualify as the understatement of the year, you should have been on the Champs Elysées last night !

how on earth did 30,000 fans become 30,000 francs in my message?

I'd rather find 30,000 francs in my WC than 30,000 fans - even tho the francs are worthless - or are they?
