Where to leave luggage when day tripping - Naples/Pompeii/Sorrento/Amalfi?

Jump to last reply

So after lots of back and forth with my friend who is traveling with me we have decided with our one week in Italy we are flying to Rome and immediately taking the train to Naples. We will spend that day in Naples, then the next day go to Pompeii and end up in Sorrento, then the 3rd day we want to take a tour of Pasitano, Amalfi, etc... then head to Rome on the train late that night so that we wake up in Rome.

We are trying to figure out safe places to leave our luggage so that we don't have to drag it around everywhere.

1st option would be lockers in Rome train station - leave there for 3 days and then get it when we are done with our south of Rome tour.

2nd option would be lockers in Naples train station - leave for a day or two.

anyone have any experience - is this a safe plan? any other ideas on storing luggage?
