All,
What destinations in Europe would you most recommend with a 9 month old baby in spring? We have been to Italy and Switzerland, although both are still places we would revisit.
1. Looking for someplace which would have reasonable apartments to rent (since we are vegetarians and prefer making our own meals atleast for some part of the trip).
2. Weather is a major constraint - we would prefer reasonably warm weather in April/May without too much of rain
3. Since we would have a lot of luggage (things for the baby), a walking city would probably make sense? We could just do some walking tours and get back to the hotel if the baby is sleepy? Driving is also an option as long as the driving is relatively stress-free.
Thanks very much!

Lecce..great walking city...can rent a car for day trips to other beautiful nearby towns and villages. The weather will be OK.
Thanks travelbunny.
What are places near Lecce that we can travel to? Is driving too much of a hassle there (road signs, narrow streets etc.)?
look at at website run by a local Lecce travel agent...salentotime.it for some ideas. A car in the city is not needed; you might want to rent a small apt or a "family" unit in a masserina (?). For some of my travel picks hit flickr.com and look under pedal and sea adventures stream..our trip was Puglia 2008. Hope this gives you some ideas..will be happy to answer specifics.
