Where to honeymoon
Hi everyone!!
Me and fiancee are not able to decide where to honeymoon...We live in the USA and would be going to India to get married...We want to have a stop over in Europe while coming back.
This stop over could be at
a) Amsterdam (most convinient and cheapest ticket)
b) Paris
c) Italy (Milan)
I am at a loss to decide where to go.We can have 4-5 days. We dont want to do too many places and just see a couple of places
.
I did want to go to rome and venice after stopping at Milan, but also wonder if amsterdam would be a good choice as then we dont have any hassles for changing flights.
I would appreciate any replies
Thanks

Of the three cities I think Paris is the best choice. You have enough time to begin to see it and the atmosphere is famously conducive to honeymooning. Amsterdam has rougher edges is but pleasant enough and in four or five days you will see pretty much all it has to offer and will have taken a day trip or two. It is probably too much time for Milan.

I have to begin looking for tickts now...i am still at a loss.. i want to see all these cities, but due to time coinsiderations, we have to limit ourselves to only a couple....if we halt at milan, we cud probably see both venice and rome? do you think its possible to do both in say, 6 days?
paris would be great for 3-4 days, but i heard its very expensive as compared to other european cities
any more comments would be highly appreciated

Rome and Venice are in different directions from Milan which makes it difficult to see both in 6 days. I still think you should choose only one destination, although you could stop in Florence on the way to Rome.

Hi kk,
>paris would be great for 3-4 days, but i heard its very expensive as compared to other european cities
Not the major cities. Paris is much less expensive than London or Venice and no more expensive than Rome or Amsterdam.
>...if we halt at milan, we cud probably see both venice and rome? do you think its possible to do both in say, 6 days?
It is possible, but not recommended.
If you have to fly out of Milan, you will lose a day.
Why not fly into Rome and see that or into Paris and see that?
You only have 6 days, you can't see all of Europe.

Hi K,
>then head out to some nice scenic place a couple of hrs by train or bus...

Both Rome and Paris will keep you busy for more than a week.
Orvieto is a better daytrip from Rome than either Florence or Pisa.
Would you mind writing in English? I am having some difficulty interpreting your cell phone code. Thanks.
