I like the ones Rick Steves sells on his site. It is not bulky - but I am pretty small.
They sell them in lots of places - I ordered one from LL Bean, but it was huge (to me).
Maybe also check ebags or other travel stores.
You should have no problems finding them.

Get Travelsmith's Security Neck Pouch. In 2003 I used the regular waist wallet and it was summer. It was HOT and sweaty and yuch. It just wasn't convenient. Last summer I used this neck pouch and I loved it. I liked having it right in front of me at all times. I tucked it under my shirt a few times when I felt the need. I also carried a kidney shaped healthy pack and when on metros or in other tight quarters I tucked the neck pouch under the day pack, hugging both in front of me. Much more comfortable and I had more of a chance to see someone making a grab. The Travelsmith neck pouch was big enough to carry a small comb, lip balm, money, passport, metro cards, small patches of moleskin, etc. It has at least two zip pockets good for small change.
I LOVE mine and still use it for day trips and when I want to be hands free with the children. The great thing about it is that the cord is actually cloth covered cable and can't be slashed by pickpockets, especially ones with a knife who would just slash and grab.

We liked the money belts we bought on the Rick steve's web-site too. Light-weight and small. comes with a removable plastic piece. If you take out the plastic piece the money belt is much cooler to wear all day. However, if you leave your passport in the moneybelt all day without the plastic piece, the passport will suffer some damage due to body heat and sweat. (It actually says somewhere on the passport that it's not any good if it's been damaged!) So if you remove the plastic piece, carry a photocopy of your passport and leave the original in hotel safe.

I just want to give another thumbs up to Rick Steve's money belts. The fabric is silk--so very soft to be next to your skin all day.
I had another brand that chafed me--ICK.
Plus they are only like $9 or so. My local travel stores were selling inferior ones for $24!

I've used this style of money belt that attaches to your belt. It's worked well for me. Anyone else use one like this?
