Thinking that if we get any prints or posters in Paris, the easiest thing to do would be to buy a mailer and send by mail.

In the US I would go to an art supply shop: one that sells artists paints, brushes, etc.

What is a mailing tube called in French? What would the name of the type of shop (in French) I should be looking for?

Finally, know that the French Postale has some flat rate boxes, do they have a tube?

We bought poster tubes in a shop near the underground entrance to the Louvre.

It is called "tube carton" or "tube d'expédition".
You will find it in art supply (fournitured pour beaux-arts) or office supply shops (fournitures de bureau) or in "papeteries".

They sell some containers in the post offices themselves, if you pass one by, you can check. I know they sell boxes, but I haven't looked for tubes.
