Where to 1st wk of Nov.

OK, so a river cruise in France may not be fun, but thats the only week we have. Any suggestions. We want sunny but no hot or cold, wine, food, scenery and culture. Is Europe out of the question? If not, where is the best place. Thank you, I love getting advise from all you travelers.

There's no *best* place ... but a lot of good choices. How about Portugal and/or somewhere in Spain on the Mediterranean coast.

You could try Spain, southern Italy, Greece, or Turkey....
Otherwise S. America may fit the bill.

I see you already posted on the Latin America forum. That would make sense to me if you really want sunny. My husband took a great one week solo trip to Mendoza last December

On the other hand I would go to Paris any time of year (just not on the cruise at the time you have free in November)

Nov won't be guaranteed sunny or warm anywhere in Europe. The southern bits (Greece, Sicily, Coast of Spain etc) will be warmer - but cool/rain is possible anywhere.

You can have a really WONDERFUL Nov vacation in Paris, or Rome or Venice or lots of places - just not for sunny/warm/beachy weather.

If weather is important, consider the Azores or southern hemisphere places like South America, Australia, . . . .

In November in Europe for sunny and not cold you should stick to southern Spain, Southern Italy, perhaps Malta or Cyprus.

Otherwise you're into late fall and it can be quite chilly in many places.

It's a long way to go for a week! The south coast of Turkey should be good. Egypt? (though not for the wine!), or Mexico/elsewhere in Central America?
