Barcelona is a port in our May transaltantic cruise on the Golden Princess. We want to do several of the walks recommended in Fodor's "Barcelona." Specifically, we want to walk from the cruise ship to Barri Gotic, the Waterfront, and up stroll Las Ramblas. Also, are the Olympic section near the cruise ship docks?
I am looking at map, but can't get a real feel for walking distances and ease.
Thank you so much for any information you may have!!!
Where does Princess Cruise Ship dock in Barcelona?

It's not ultra far, but a healthy walk. It will depend a lot on which berth the ship is assigned to on arrival; there are several cruise piers IIRC.
Myself, I would take a cab to Parc Guell then walk downhill to Gracia, the Ramblas, and the Bari Gotic, eventually the waterfront. If your ship is typical it will arrive at 0-dark-30 so you'll get down the hill to the happenings about the time that they start happening. Remember it's Spain. Night, not morning people, to use a gross and unfair stereotype.
If you're concerned about not remembering to click on "Spain" for this posting - - then simply re-post this message (you can cut and paste) - - though it's hardly crucial.
Then ask everyone not to post here further. It will be easy enough to find your new post.
But making a new post saying "oops" (spelled correctly or not) doesn't serve any purpose. There's no clue what "mistake" it is trying to correct.
Best wishes,
Rex
