Where can I find an explanation of different car rental categories?

Is there a standardized meaning for the different symbols used to describe international car rental types such as EDMR, ECMR, EBMR CDMR? I guessed the E was for economy but didn't know what the other letters represented.

I thought this information had been posted here but I couldn't find it doing a search.

Thanks for any help, Deborah

Jed, thank you. I did find something like that doing a google search. But what I am trying to find is what each of those letters mean. At one time I know I had the symbol key.

EDMR,For example the E means economy, and the M is for manual, possible and is the D for diesel? What about that R???I want to be able to make the best selection for our travel needs.

thanks for your help, Deborah
