What's going on with this site today?

Anyone else having problems? It keeps logging me out, I get all kinds of error messages, when I look at threads listed in may say "1 message and last posted at 6:30", but I go there and find several messages posted since then. Also whenever I post I keep losing all the posts listed on the left. Am I alon on this today?

Nope I thought it was me as I had a problem a while ago and the Fodors guys in NY were asking I log in at certain times to help them with a problem. Its acting like it did before.....

No, you're not alone! It's acting pretty squirrely this morning. Maybe their servers are in Ivan's path?

It's acting weird for me, Patrick. But I'm logging in from work in our break room. I wondered if it might be a server problem.

Hi Patrick - nope, it's not just you! I've had trouble posting as well as watching the number of responses to some threads go into the negative numbers (even though the actual posts have several responses) Weird, but at least now I can read & post without logging in every 5 seconds!

Very interesting. Was going to post that I hadn't experienced any problems this morning, when I noticed I was no longer logged in. Have noticed negative numbers too. What's that all about?

All right people. How are we supposed to have any fun when everyone is so honest?

The next time this happens we all need to pretend there's nothing wrong.

Then we can see how long it takes to drive the OP over the edge.

For a major BB Fodors seems to have more than its share of glitches, down days, and goofy screens. I hate to say it, but the Easyboards BBs (Flyertalk, Cruise Critic et al) seem to be much more stable and frankly more useful - live url links, things like that. Kiss, kiss, Danny and all, but have a look over there...

Yes, I had problems posting this am. Now I see that the thread finally showed what I posted but stayed down towards the bottom

Now and then there is a hiccup on Fodors, maybe because we all got up this morning full of stuff to say on here ?

I tried to get on about three times this morning and couldn't until just now. I either got various error messages or the page just never loaded. Just now, when I tried to get to the "Europe" forum, I kept getting US. I managed to get on the Europe only by clicking on "cmt."

Wow, maybe there really IS something to worry about with "Big Brother." Perhaps all debate regarding new passport measures yesterday and some of the complaints about heavy-handed police state tactics raised a red flag and the monitoring by Tom Ridge is having unexpected consequences.

Yes, I'm certain it's those White Hou.....

Shouldn't you have done your research before posting? And what exactly do you mean by "problem" and "error" and "anyone"? We require exact definitions before we can even consider answering your question. Are we supposed to guess at your intentions?

I don't even think that's really the question you should be asking. Why do you think it over, and get back to us?

What a relief, and after being gone most of the day, it's nice to see it back to normal.

indytravel and Ann41, get the awards for the most creative posts, however. indytravel, it wouldn't take much of that to drive me over the edge. I'm suffering major "plywood stress" here in Florida.

It was acting up for me this morning, too. Wouldn't even show the threads. But, all seems to be well again.

I have this happen about once a week it seems. I always figure that Fodors must do quite a bit of tweakig.

Patrick it's nice to see you still have your sense of humor. Hang on to it as you may need it as the hurricane season continues.

Have you heard from LilMsFoodie? I hope as a fellow Floridian the two of you can meet up. She's been through a living hell.

Best of luck to you and everyone else in Florida.
