What's Air Europa like?
Hi all. I might have an opportunity to accompany my husband on a business trip to Barcelona.
USAir doesn't fly there direct in the winter; it looks like we will have to hook up with an Air Europa flight.
I never heard of them. What can you tell me about them - good/bad?

Air Europa is another airline serving Spain and offering excellent rates on selected routes. They are a code share with Air France, KLM and Northwest.

Robert is this still valid info? I am looking for a business class ticket non-stop from NYC to MAD and then from Lisbon to NYC. Air Europa seems to have decent prices (along with Finnair!) and I need to make the choice soon.
Then I can buy the TAP flight from Bilbao to Lisbon independently......
If there is anything I hate in planning a trip it is wading through all the fares and flights soon offer.
Many thanks!

Eks, I only flew intra-Europe flights on Air Europa so am not sure about overseas one. However I can tell you that all the ones I was on were really cramped for space. I am 6 feet 2 (and thin) and could barely move - my understanding travel companion helped to unfold me at destination so that I could limp off the plane (slight exaggeration but you get the point).
Also flew some of those in Business class - same seat size and configuration, just different cabin up front and no one in the middle seat so a little more elbow room (but alas not more legroom).
I would like to think the overseas one have better personal space. If there is a way you can find a comparison for seat width and pitch, that might help you make a decision.
FYI.
