What would you do in Cinque Terre if rain prevents hiking?

Jump to last reply

Our trip is coming up soon. Got lots of great comments about Cinque Terre in my previous post.

One other thing I forgot to ask: what would you do if it's raining too hard to hike? I've heard that some of the trails are muddy, slippery and dangerous if raining. Normally we hike anyway and don't let rain stop us, but probably not in this case.

Bobthenavigator mentioned Portovenere, for example. Would this be a good place to walk around in the rain? Can you take a train there? We won't have a car.

Thanks so much for any suggestions!
