Hi all
I will be in DUS for one day at the beginning of my trip, on a Monday. I have just discovered that all of the museums are closed on Mondays. I don't want to spend the whole time shopping because I have three more cities to go after DUS and don't want to fill the suitcase on the first day (although I'll make an exception for mustard). What are the highpoints in DUS that don't include museums or heavy shopping?
thanks!
What to do in Dusseldorf when the museums are closed?

We were there for a couple of days last summer. It's not really a tourist destination. The promenade by the river and the old town right next to it have a lot of restaurants and it was nice to stroll around (this was summer time), but that was it. We did day trips, one to Cologne and one to Aachen.
