We will be on a cruise docking in Cobh & have a full day in that area. How far is the port from Cork & how can we get there? Is there plenty to do in Cork for the day--what would be the main attractions/sights. Anyone have a recommendation for a tour guide?

The "I'm moving/I'm coming home" Italy Trip Report...

You can spend at least a half of a day at the Cobh heritage center. There are many in Ireland but this is one of the better ones. The Titanic display is very good. Have fun
I kissed the Blarney Stone. The climb to the top is an endeavor and leaning over backward to smooch that stone is not comforting, but I DID IT!! Take the city bus. There is BIG tourist trinket shop out there.
In Cork I recommend the English Market.
